Jennifer started her yoga training with a 1,000 hour yoga teacher training at the Southern Institute for Yoga Instructors in Nashville, TN in 2002. Jennifer supplemented her Iyengar based training with a Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training and Certification with Stephanie Keach and therapeutic training with the Yoga Well Institute. Jennifer has attended multiple workshops and trainings under renown teachers such as Roger Cole, Ramanand Patel, Simon Park, Shiva Rea, Daphne and Tom Larkin, Seane Corn, David Swenson, Nicki Doane, Tim Miller, and James Bailey. Jennifer has studied Ayurveda, Ashtanga, Anatomy & Physiology, and Meditation. Jennifer has extensive experience teaching college athletes.
Jennifer is a lecturer in the Health and Human Performance department at Middle Tennesse State University where she teaches semester long courses in Beginning Yoga, Intermediate Yoga, and Advanced Yoga.
Kim has been teaching mind-body classes in the Murfreesboro community since 2012. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at The Yoga Nest in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, an 85-hour Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training under Jessalyn Hakanson, and her 300-hour teacher training at Sanctuary for Yoga in Nashville, TN under Daphne and Tom Larkin. Her therapeutic yoga training includes an 800-hour yoga therapy certification with Spanda Yoga Movement Therapy under Dr. Jaime Schmitt and a therapeutic 300-hour training with Yoga Medicine under Tiffany Cruikshank. She has additional training in Yoga for Scoliosis, Yin Yoga, Meditation, Restorative Yoga, Anatomy, Yoga History & Philosophy, and Yoga for Athletes. Kim is also the founder of Boro Yoga Fest.
Kim also has M.S. in Business Administration and a second M.S. in Community Health and Nutrition. She has multiple health and fitness certifications including Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and certified personal trainer.
